Mr. Karsten Diethelm Geier, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Balkh visited Mediothek Balkh and observed an ongoing painting training course for local young female artists.
The Consul General spoke with young artists and heard their stories and hopes for their future of their county as young artists.
The young artists talked about their interests as artists and shared their plans with Consul General about women’s status, human rights, social well-being, etc. They were encouraged by the visit of the Consul General and expressed hope that more international partners and colleagues would be to visits and see our artworks dedicated to social issues including women rights, human rights and social life of ordinary citizens.
The Painting Training Course is sponsored by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mazar-e Sharif for local young female artists interested in painting and is offered by Maulana Peace House free of any charge for the artists and students of art.
