Workshop on Conflict Resolution
Mediothk Balkh conducted a two-day workshop on “Conflict Resolution” for 12 participants, both male and female. The aim of the workshop was to introduce the participants with modern and new of ways conflict resolution and effective methods of mediation between conflicting groups and communities.
Afghanistan is still marred by conflict of different kinds and it is very critical to train and educate young men and women about conflict and conflict resolution and transformation and provide them with tools necessary for conflict resolution and settlement.
For the long run, these workshops, which Mediothek Carters have been in different provinces, enable the participants of the workshop to act as mediators in community level disputes and trainers.
Mediothek Afghanistan has been providing training community leaders, youths and journalists on conflict sensitive reporting and journalism for the past couple of years. And this workshop also focused on youths.
