On 3rd of October 2008, around 90 people participated in a ceremony took place in Kunduz Mediothek.
This ceremony was conducted on the occasion of the German reunification day by Kunduz PRT in cooperation of Kunduz Mediothek.
Governmental officials, representatives from the election and peace strengthening commissions from Kunduz and Takhar provinces, a member of parliament and provincial council, head of non-governmental organizations in Kunduz, local elders and influential people, national and international journalists and representative of international organization based in Kunduz were the highlighted guest participants.
The program started by the opening speeches of Kunduz Mediothek Coordinator, Abdullah Rasuly.
The other speakers were: Foreign representative of German embassy in Kunduz PRT, commander of Kunduz PRT, head of Kunduz governor office, head of Peace Strengthening Commission and Dr. Fatima Aziz, member of Afghan Parliament.
The Afghan speakers congratulated this day to their German friends and spoke on the developing of Afghan-German long term fruitful relationship.
German speakers thanked Afghans for their active participation in conducting the German Reunification Day and elaborated on the issue of Germany division and reunification history.
After serving the lunch provided by PRT Kunduz, the Afghans and Germans talked and exchanged view to each other in a very open space, on the current situation of Afghanistan. They also discussed about the contribution of Germany in the reconstruction process of Afghanistan.
Mediothek provided a congratulation letter to all participants in English that were highly appreciated by the audience. This program lasted till 4:00 pm.
