Discussing the Establishment of a Joint Civil Society Council (JCSC)

Community and media center Khost has organized a gathering with civil society representatives. The aim of the gathering was to discuss the state and condition of civil society institutions in Khost province and to talk about the establishment of a joint council of civil society organizations.
Representatives of more than thirty civil institutions participated in the program, where they discussed important issues.
Participants analyzed the state of civil society institutions in Khost province, stating that compare to other provinces of the country, civil society institutions are in a better position in Khost province, but they still face countless challenges.
Participants discussed that if civil society institutions come together and establish a joint council, it will resolve most of the challenges they face.
To make the establishment of the joint council possible, Community and Media Center Khost organized this gathering.
All participants agreed that the presence and establishment of a joint council is an urgent need of civil society and it should a priority for civil institutions. Participants agreed on a coming gathering in which a council will be established and election will be held to elect a director to head the council. Mediothek was assigned to organize upcoming gathering and work on the agenda.
